I wear earplugs all the time because of irritating noise. I didn't realize it had a name. Certain sounds cause me physical pain, unfortunately I can hear dog whistles and security alarm systems. For some reason Jazz irritates beyond belief. I try to enjoy it, I love music, but end up with a sore jaw from gritting my teeth.

I agree with you about jazz. Of course it isn't all the same. Some of the older styles, like big band is fun, but more modern styles which look like a bunch of scribbles in my brain set my teeth on edge too! I think you have a very sensitive nervous system and are smart to protect yourself from overstimulation/pain.

I personally can not stand the sound of anyone eating around me!! Scared to eat out at restaurants.

My articles on health and fitness. I'm not comfortable giving health advice. This is not to be taken as such. I do enjoy relaying current research ideas for discussion with a qualified health care practitioner.
