Tomorrow is our fourteenth anniversary. Yay!
I used to go through old-fashioned calendar books when I was a kid and in the back there was always this section listing appropriate gifts for anniversaries. Paper, linen, silver gold, etc.
Remember those?
These puzzled me and my mom would try to explain it to me. There were old versions, with archaic-type gifts (probably listing such questionable materials like mutton) and more modern versions, say, "electronics". But I think our fourteenth will always be remembered as our virus anniversary. Why are these anniversary lists funny? I could probably write a whole essay on their hopeful and earnest nature.
Can we just have a cat toy anniversary every year? I think that would work well.
